How to export your personal data according to GDPR

Your right to data portability

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to receive a copy of your personal data.

Which data can you export?

Included data

Export data

Step by step

  1. Click your name in the top right
  2. Select “Profile” or “Settings”
  3. Go to “Privacy” or “My data”
  4. Click “Export data”
  5. Wait for generation
  6. Download the file

Export format

Your data is provided as:

  • JSON file: Machine-readable
  • CSV files: For Excel/spreadsheets
  • Or as a ZIP archive with multiple files

After the export

Open file

JSON files:

  • Open with a text editor
  • Or with a JSON viewer in the browser

CSV files:

  • Open with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Encoding: UTF-8 for correct special characters

Understand data

The exported data contains technical fields. Here is an explanation of the most important ones:

What can you use the data for?

  • Personal documentation: Archive your learning history
  • Proof: For employers or certifications

How often can you export?

There is no restriction. You can export your data at any time.

Recommendation: Export important milestones (for example, after completing a course) for your records.
