What to do if you have not received a certificate after completing a course

Certificate not received?

You completed a course but did not receive a certificate? Here are the most common causes and solutions.

Common causes

1. Course not fully completed

Symptom: Progress does not show 100%.

Check:

  1. Open the course
  2. Check the progress bar
  3. Look for unfinished lessons without a green check mark

Solution:

  • Work through all lessons
  • Watch all videos completely (at least 90%)
  • Pass all required quizzes

2. Quiz not passed

Symptom: Course shows 100%, but quiz status is “Not passed”.

Check:

  1. Go to the quiz in the course
  2. Check your result
  3. Was the passing threshold reached?

Solution:

  • Repeat the quiz until you pass
  • Review the material beforehand

3. Certificates are disabled

Symptom: No certificate can be found anywhere.

Cause: Your company has disabled the certificate feature.

Solution:

  • Ask your administrator whether certificates can be enabled
  • Some courses generally have no certificates

4. Course has no certificate

Symptom: Other courses have certificates, but this one does not.

Cause: No certificate has been configured for this specific course.

Solution:

  • Ask your administrator whether a certificate can be added
  • Some courses, such as short introductions, intentionally have no certificates

Find certificate

Where to look?

  1. Certificates area: Click “Certificates” in the main menu
  2. In the course: Open the completed course and look for “View certificate”
  3. Email: Check your inbox, including spam

Refresh page

Sometimes the certificate is not displayed immediately:

  1. Press F5 or Ctrl+R
  2. Wait a few minutes
  3. Check the certificates area again

Technical problems

Certificate generation failed

In rare cases, certificate creation may fail:

  1. Reload the page
  2. Check again later (the system will try again)
  3. If the problem remains: contact support

Certificate is not displayed

  1. Clear browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete)
  2. Test a different browser
  3. Use incognito mode

Contact administrator

When?

Contact your administrator if:

  • The course is 100% completed
  • All quizzes are passed
  • No certificate appears after 24 hours
  • You receive an error message

What to provide?

  • Course name: Which course was completed?
  • Completion date: When was the course finished?
  • Progress: Screenshot showing 100%
  • Quiz status: Passed with what score?

Frequently asked questions

Can I receive a certificate afterwards?

Yes, if all requirements are met and the administrator starts generation.

Will my certificate stay saved?

Yes, certificates you have received remain permanently available and can be downloaded at any time.

What if the course was updated?

Your existing certificate remains valid. You only need to complete the updated course again if your employer requires it.
