How to configure automatic email notifications

Email notifications

Configure which automatic email notifications are sent to your employees.

Open settings

  1. Go to Admin > Settings
  2. Select “Email” or “Notifications”

Available notifications

For learners

Enable/disable notifications

How to change the settings

  1. Find the desired notification
  2. Click the toggle switch
  3. On = notification active
  4. Off = notification disabled
  5. Click “Save”

Sender settings

Sender name and email

Configure who the emails appear to come from:

Note: The sender email is often predefined by the system.

Email templates

Customizable texts

For some emails, you can customize the text:

  1. Click “Edit template” for the notification
  2. Adjust the text
  3. Use placeholders such as {Benutzername} or {Kursname}
  4. Click “Save”

Email reminders

Automatic reminders

Configure reminders for inactive users:

  1. Enable “Reminders”
  2. Set the period (for example, after 7 days of inactivity)
  3. Optional: repeat reminders (for example, weekly)

Send test email

Before enabling

  1. Click “Send test email”
  2. An email is sent to your address
  3. Check content and formatting
  4. Only then enable it for everyone

Delivery issues

Emails do not arrive

If users do not receive emails:

  1. Have them check the spam folder
  2. Check the email address for typos
  3. Whitelist: Ask IT to approve the sender
  4. Settings: Is the notification enabled?
