Add chapters and lessons

Understand the course structure

Courses are organized hierarchically:

Course

Add chapters

Create a new chapter

1. Open the course in edit mode
2. Click “Add chapter” or ”+”
3. Enter a chapter title
4. Optional: add a description
5. Click “Save”

Name chapters

Good chapter titles are:

• Short and precise: “Introduction”, “Workplace safety”
• Numbered: “1. Basics”, “2. Advanced techniques”
• Topic-based: Describes the content of the chapter

Add lessons

Create a new lesson

1. In the desired chapter, click “Add lesson”
2. Select the lesson type
3. Enter a title
4. Click “Create”

Edit content

Text editor

The text editor offers:

• Formatting: Bold, italic, underlined
• Headings: H2, H3, H4
• Lists: Bulleted and numbered lists
• Links: Links to external pages
• Images: Insert and position images
• Tables: Present structured data

Insert images

1. Click the image icon in the editor
2. Upload an image or choose one from the library
3. Adjust the size
4. Add alternative text

Embed videos

1. Create a video lesson
2. Upload the video or add a link
3. The video is embedded automatically

Change the order

Sort chapters

1. Hold the drag handle (⋮⋮)
2. Drag the chapter to the new position
3. Release to confirm

Sort lessons

Use the same process within a chapter:

1. Hold the drag handle
2. Drag the lesson up or down
3. Release to save

Edit chapters and lessons

Change titles

1. Click the title of the chapter or lesson
2. Edit the text
3. Click outside the field or press Enter

Edit content

1. Click the lesson
2. The editor opens
3. Make your changes
4. Click “Save”

Delete chapters and lessons

Delete a lesson

1. Click ”…” next to the lesson
2. Select “Delete”
3. Confirm

Delete a chapter

1. Click ”…” next to the chapter
2. Select “Delete”
3. All included lessons are deleted as well

Warning: Deleted content cannot be restored.

Structure tips

• Logical progression: From simple to complex
• Short lessons: 5-15 minutes per lesson
• Variety: Mix text, video, and quizzes
• Summaries: At the end of each chapter

• Clear language: Easy for the target group to understand
