Fix video problems

If a video does not load or play, try these solutions.

Video does not load

Quick solutions

  1. Reload the page (F5)
  2. Wait a few seconds - the video may still be processing
  3. Check internet connection

Reduce quality

If available:

  1. Click the gear icon in the player
  2. Choose a lower quality (for example 480p instead of 1080p)
  3. Try playback again

Video stops / buffers constantly

Causes

Solutions

  1. Pause other devices on the network (downloads, streaming)
  2. Disable VPN (if active)
  3. Reduce quality in the video player
  4. Try later when network load is high
  5. Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi

No sound

Checklist

  • Volume turned up on the computer?
  • Video not muted in the player?
  • Headphones connected correctly?
  • Browser tab not muted?
  • Other applications have sound?

Solutions

  1. In the player: click the volume icon and check whether it is muted
  2. Right-click the browser tab > “Unmute site”
  3. Check system volume
  4. Test a different browser

Black screen / error message

”Video not available”

Possible causes:

  • Video is still processing after upload
  • Technical problem on the server
  • Video was removed or changed

Solution: Wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem remains, contact your administrator.

Black screen

  1. Disable ad blockers for this site
  2. Disable hardware acceleration in the browser
  3. Update graphics drivers
  4. Test a different browser

Browser-specific problems

Chrome

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy and security
  2. Check “Autoplay” for this site
  3. Delete cache and cookies

Firefox

  1. Click the lock icon in the address bar
  2. Check permissions for media
  3. Disable tracking protection for this site

Safari

  1. Go to Safari > Settings > Websites
  2. Check “Auto-Play”
  3. Allow autoplay for this site
